H ey, I'm Mel and I cook on this blog. With "the man" and "the child" I live in our (somehow always too small) old apartment in the heart of Hamburg. For a long time I have led a (halfway) serious life as a strategic consultant in various advertising agencies.last Last year, the year before, I decided to just concentrate on what has always made me very, very happy: cooking, eating, drinking and everything that has to do with it.

YAY! Our tiny 3.5 square meter kitchen is my absolute favorite space and the headquarters of GourmetGuerillera. Here I am toasting new recipes, cook, photograph and write.My Passion: Delicious, freshly cooked food that you do not have to spend half your life in the kitchen. Somehow, it is no easy task today to concentrate on honest food in hectic everyday life in the food jungle of diets, philosophies, prescriptions and trend products. That does not necessarily have to come from the other end of the world, nor be expensive or rare.

You can easily make it yourself at home in a few minutes. For me it is totally clear: simple, delicious and fresh cook yourself is the "new gourmet". And that makes you happy! Are you in? I'm happy for that!

People, cities and countries from a very personal point of view - I like to share my culinary impressions, experiences and special insights with my readers and tell involved stories from "Around the Corner" and "Far-Far-Away".
